The banking supervisor states that, in May, "this deceleration was more expressive in small and medium-sized companies and in companies in the accommodation and catering sector".
The responsible adds that "on the contrary, accelerated the loans granted to micro and large companies and to companies in the real estate activities sector".
Regarding deposits, at the end of May individuals deposited in resident banks 178,400 million euros, an increase of 6.8% compared to May 2021. In the case of companies, they had 63.4 billion euros in deposits, a year-on-year increase of 11.8%.
The BdP points out that the evolution of loans and deposits is measured by the annual rate of change, which means that it is calculated only on the basis of the amount of transactions.
