Since September 7, the government allowed the change to the regulated gas market.
The launch of this measure was based on alleviating energy costs in the family sphere. In the decree-law, it is an "exceptional and temporary regime".
Within two weeks of the entry of this new measure, there were 9,000 requests, with a maximum of 45 days for the contractual process to be dealt with.
The influx of this transfer is due to the savings that Portuguese families are seeking, given the increase in energy costs and that it allows a reduction of costs, as the free market presents a more accessible tariff than the supplier.
