The European Blue Flag Association (ABAE) has just awarded the internationally acclaimed "Green Key" prize to the Star Inn Peniche Hotel, a hotel unit of the Hoti Hoteis Group located at Cova da Alfarroba Beach in Peniche, according to a communiqué sent to SUPERCASA Notícias.
The "Green Key" award recognizes enterprises, whose values are aligned with the will to develop good environmental practices, thus contributing to a greener and more sustainable economy.
"This award is the recognition of a collective effort of which we are immensely proud. There is a very serious commitment to the implementation of environmental practices, and this commitment extends to the entire corporate structure, ultimately reflected in the personal side of our employees. Three years ago we invested in an extensive renovation of the hotel and one of the main objectives was the pillar of sustainability, the commitment to the environment, to contribute to a greener and healthier world. We want to make sure that we leave a positive mark for future generations," says Estela Candeias, Director of the Hotel Star Inn Peniche.
The Blue Flag Association of Europe (ABAE) is a non-governmental environmental organization dedicated to Education for Sustainable Development and the management and recognition of good environmental practices. Together with the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), it promotes Environmental Education for Sustainability activities in over 60 countries.
