Compared to February, the production in construction remained stable in the euro zone and advanced 0.2% in the EU.
According to the EU statistics office, among the member states for which data is available, the largest year-on-year increases in the indicator were recorded in Poland (27.7%), Slovenia (12.3%), and Hungary (10.5%), with Spain (-7.7%), Belgium (-2.2%), Germany (-0.4%), and Austria (-0.2%) showing declines.
Poland (5.1%), Sweden (2.4%), and Germany (1.1%) showed the largest increases, while Slovenia (-7.8%), Hungary (-5.7%), and the Czech Republic (-3.6%) showed the largest decreases.
In Portugal, production in construction increased 2% compared to March 2021 and 0.9% compared to February.
