The parish has experienced a great deal of development in recent years, largely explained by the investments made in improving the road network and building infrastructure. In the tourism sector, we highlight the interventions in areas such as the leisure area of Rosário, with the picnic area and the connection between the bathing areas of Rosário and the Fishing Port; the Viewpoint and Picnic Park of Fonte Grande; the viewpoint of Grota do Inferno, inserted in the Canário Forest; Largo da Mourisca; the recovery of the sinks; the Viewpoint of the Mother of God and the Viewpoint of Santo António, on the Regional Road.
