Herdade da Farizoa liegt in der Region Alentejo für Wein und kontrollierte Weinherkunft (DOC), genauer gesagt in der Unterregion Borba, die Teil der abgegrenzten Region Alentejo ist. Die Region hat ein Klima, das durch extrem heiße und trockene Frühlinge und Sommer gekennzeichnet ist, mit geringen jährlichen Niederschlägen, die sich auf die Wintermonate konzentrieren. Die reichliche Sonneneinstrahlung, vor allem in der Zeit vor der Ernte, trägt zur perfekten Reifung der Trauben und zur Qualität der produzierten Weine bei. Hier befinden sich einige der emblematischsten Rebsorten der Region Alentejo, wie z. B. Aragonez, eine hochwertige Rebsorte, die reich an Tanninen ist und fruchtige Weine mit Noten von Kirschen, Brombeeren und intensiven Aromen hervorbringt. Die Sorte Trincadeira, eine der ältesten und am häufigsten verwendeten im Alentejo, gedeiht unter den trockenen Bedingungen, was zu kräftigen Rotweinen mit roten Früchten, blumigen Noten und grünen Kräutern führt. Die Kombination dieser Rebsorten mit anderen Alentejo-Sorten führt zu Weinen von außergewöhnlicher Qualität, die sich ideal zu Fleisch- und Käsegerichten eignen. Neben dem Weinberg verfügt das Anwesen über 4 Hektar Olivenhaine und eine ausgedehnte Fläche von Korkeichen- und Steineichenwäldern mit einer Fläche von 94.225 Hektar. Der Korkeichenwald leistet alle neun Jahre einen finanziellen Beitrag, wobei das Ziehen von Kork eine zusätzliche Einnahmequelle darstellt. In Bezug auf die Einrichtungen verfügt das Anwesen über einen voll ausgestatteten Keller mit 3.150 m², ein Lager zur Unterstützung des Weinguts mit 3.080 m², eine Kläranlage (WWTP) und zwei zerstörte Hügel von 240 m² bzw. 2.700 m². Darüber hinaus gibt es einen Damm mit einem Fassungsvermögen von 26.915 m³, einen Teich mit einem Fassungsvermögen von 1.000 m³ und zwei artesische Löcher in Aktivität. Herdade da Farizoa hat auch Potenzial für weintouristische Projekte durch die Requalifizierung bestehender Einrichtungen. Die Besucher hätten die Möglichkeit, das Anwesen kennenzulernen, hochwertige Weine zu probieren und die Schönheit der Region zu genießen. Die Geschichte des Anwesens reicht bis ins achtzehnte Jahrhundert zurück, als es einem der religiösen Orden gehörte, die 1854 ausgestorben waren.
