✨ A retreat in the heart of nature We are renting out two accommodation options on our peaceful 4.5-hectare property in central Portugal, surrounded by nature and with beautiful panoramic views of the Serra da Estrela. In a week or so, we plan to finish off the outdoor kitchen for a gypsy trailer here too, so that one will also be up for rent very soon (see the last photo). Independent T1 Guesthouse A cosy, fully independent T1 cottage, ideal for 1–2 people, featuring a newly renovated: * kitchen * bathroom * Bedroom * Living room * Private balcony with mountain views * Fan, electric heating and wood burner * Unlimited 4G internet * Clean, filtered water from every tap The gas bottle is currently full and payable by the tenant (a full bottle costs €35). We also offer our: Vintage 1970s Hymer – €350/month with everything you need for independent living: * 2 double beds, including a king-size bed * Private bathroom * Living area * Kitchen * Private outdoor patio * Fan and electric heating * Unlimited 4G internet * clean, filtered water The gas bottle to use for cooking is payable by the tenant (we will take care of the replacement, a full bottle is €20,-) Life on the property Both options include access to: * Natural swimming pool ️ * Several ponds and a man-made waterfall * A secluded “Roman bath” * Four terraces with different views over the Serra da Estrela * Fruit trees, olive grove and vineyard * Various walking trails directly from the property * Semi-outdoor BBQ area * Sauna ♀️ * Ping-pong table and trampoline * Beautiful panoramic mountain views * Several mountain walks accessible directly from your doorstep We are around 15 minutes by car from Guarda and Belmonte, while the nearest village and river beach are approximately 10–15 minutes on foot. Peace, nature and privacy This is a rural setting and a real haven for birds and quartz lovers. Apart from the occasional tractor, there is virtually no traffic. A car or electric bike is essential, as the main roads leading to supermarkets, restaurants and other amenities are not particularly pedestrian-friendly. Both can be rented in nearby towns. The guesthouse is fully independent but located just a few metres from our own home. The traditional stone walls are exceptionally thick and provide excellent sound insulation, and there is plenty of privacy. For us, however, it is important that we get along well with our tenants, so please tell us a little about yourself when getting in touch. Pets may be considered on request. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate male dogs, as our own male dog is reactive towards other males. A little about us We are Claire, a former journalist from the Netherlands, and Spencer, a musician and painter from the UK.
