The property comes with an approved project for a three bedroom, three and a half bathroom house, with annexes serving as breakfast room, office/gym and outdoor living room. The annexes could also be built as rental units. Built pre-1950, the house was well known in the village for serving as accommodation for labourers who harvested the olives off this land and others in the area. The house and two of the three annexes are made of old stones but are currently in a state of ruin. We have spoken to our builder, and he would love to take on the project of rebuilding the houses. He has worked for us before and we highly recommend him! The other annex is part old stone, part brick and in a better condition. This could be built up first, then you could live there while building the main house. The land is mainly terraced, though has a nice big flat section at the bottom. The top of the land overlooks the hills, whereas the lower terraces have lovely views over the property and to the forest next to the land and hills to the side. Electricity can easily be reconnected, as the connections still exist and there is good mobile phone cover. There is also plenty of water, through three wells, a borehole and a large lagoon, that is fed by a mine (which does currently need cleaning to make the water flow again). To the side and bottom of the land there is a water line which forms a small stream in the rainy season, but is currently dry. The house can also easily be connected to mains water via the connection point at the top of the property. The lagoon can be converted into a natural swimming pond. The land is very fertile and has lots of exciting areas to explore. We have spotted many birds, including an owl, frogs and lizards, a fox and wild boars. Although the land has now been cleaned, if allowed to grow, the entire property is covered with numerous wild flowers and you can hear the buzzing of bees and other insects. The olive trees produce wonderful olive oil and the orange and mandarin trees bear juicy fruits. Other fruit trees include nespera, figs, plum, peach, pear and cherry. There is one neighbour near, but not overlooking the property, this is a lovely old lady, who has recently moved in with family in town, and only comes to take care of her garden during the weekends. The area is quiet and in nature, but there are some other houses nearby, so you dont feel isolated. We are selling because while we were waiting for the project to be approved we already bought another house to live in .
