House of 2 floors, in the centre of the village of Alte, close to the church. On the ground floor we have a garage with a bathroom and prepared to make a studio. Through stairs, you will have access to the 1st floor where you can also find already finished, 2 bedrooms, living room that can be converted into another bedroom or extend the existing one, as well as a balcony. On the 2nd floor there is an unfinished bathroom and kitchen (there are new cabinets and appliances that can be placed here), as well as a terrace where you can enjoy the view of the hill. This villa is ideal to monetise, since you can rent the ground floor and keep the remaining floors to live in, or rent both and you can get a T1 and a T2/3. Alte is far from the touristy coast, but is considered one of the most typical and preserved villages in the Algarve (and even in all of Portugal), with its houses painted in the current colours of the region (ochre, almagre, azulão, anthracite, standing out from a white background), the roof terraces, the traditional chimneys and the alleys paved in Portuguese cobblestone. I’m going to tell you the story of this house in the centre of Alte, where once the Ti Guerreira, a fat and squat furnace helped to give birth to most of the older Altenses. Ti Guerreira was responsible for the public oven of the village and received a loaf of bread for each batch and 2 loaves for each child who was baptised after the one who helped her to be born! Even today, the door, still of solid wood origin, is embellished with a cast iron beater in the shape of a child, indicating that the village midwife lived there. The house is habitable, however it needs renovation, but believe me it will be a big surprise when you walk through that door! With several levels, the house gives us the feeling of being in a labyrinth and becomes the back of it, where the garden invites us to leave. Entrance hall with bathroom, bedroom, kitchen with large dining room where large windows give access to the patio and outdoor garden that can be transformed into a small oasis and terrace to quietly have your meals and cool off in the small pool that on clear days you can see the sea in the distance. On the 1st floor, the owner started the construction of an independent flat with 2 bedrooms, living room and bathroom, but it was not finished.
