The workshop part, with an area of 265 m2, includes three rooms, one with a fireplace, used as a workspace, and a large open space, currently functioning as a sculpture workshop. This property includes courtyards, terraces, and a saltwater pool, lined with green slate. All rooms have access to private patios, starting with the entrance, which is made through a walled courtyard with two orange trees and a water fountain, where water constantly flowing into a tank gives a feeling of freshness and relaxation. Rooms with access to private patios, while a large covered patio serves as an outdoor dining area and access to the pool, with a stunning view. In this project, architect Bartolomeu Costa Cabral valued the interaction of the building with the surrounding space and living conditions. The soil used in the taipa was locally sourced, promoting a natural and balanced integration with the surrounding terrain. Electricity is supplied by a photovoltaic solar panel system, stored in batteries, while hot water is generated by thermal solar panels and sourced from a well. The central heating system is powered by fireplaces and radiators connected to a diesel boiler. Thermal control of the residence is ensured by a roof with a 5 cm water layer protected by insulating slabs, with a ventilation system to increase evaporation, keeping the house cool in summer.
