I’m going to tell you the story of this house in the centre of Alte, where once the Ti Guerreira, a fat and squat furnace helped to give birth to most of the older Altenses. Ti Guerreira was responsible for the public oven of the village and received a loaf of bread for each batch and 2 loaves for each child who was baptised after the one who helped her to be born!
