According to a statement released by EDP Renováveis, the company has secured project finance for the development, construction and operation of six wind farms with an aggregate capacity of 149.4 MW in Poland.
The six wind farms are geographically distributed throughout Poland. Specifically, Kozlowo and Krasin are located in the Warmian-Masurian province, Lichnowy and Chojnice in the Pomeranian province, Piatkowo in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie province and Bogoria wind farm in the Swietokrzyskie province, details EDP Renováveis.
These wind farms are part of the sale contract signed with Mirova, disclosed to the market in August 2021.
The note from the company led by Miguel Stilwell d'Andrade highlights that "the institutions selected for the operation were the European Investment Bank (EIB), Banco Santander S.A./Santander Bank Polska and Caixabank S.A. In addition, EKF, the official Danish Export Credit Agency, acted as ECA (Export Credit Agency) cover provider.
Finally, the company clarifies that this transaction falls within the context of the €8 billion asset rotation program for 2021-25, "which will allow us to accelerate value creation as well as reapply capital to invest in new growth."
