Situated right on the border with Spain, and separated by the beautiful Minho river, the town of Monção notes human occupation since ancient times, being the foundation of the town shrouded in legend and on which still left plenty of questions. But Monção is also known by Alvarinho wine, this caste being the noblest of varieties of grapes of the vinho verde demarcated region.
